A Resilient-Sustainable Supply Chain Network Design in a Glass Industry

چکیده :
The glass industry faces increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions while maintaining reliable operations under supply disruptions. Designing resilient and sustainable supply chain networks has therefore become a critical challenge for improving operational performance and supporting long-term industrial competitiveness. This study develops a multi-objective mixed-integer linear programming model for designing a resilient-sustainable glass supply chain network. The proposed model simultaneously optimizes facility location, product allocation, inventory and shortage decisions while minimizing total cost and CO₂ emissions and maximizing employment opportunities. A secondary producer strategy is incorporated to mitigate production capacity disruptions under multiple scenarios. The ε-Constraint method is employed to generate Pareto-optimal solutions, and sensitivity analyses further examine the impacts of inventory-related parameters. The results confirm the model’s effectiveness and provide practical managerial insights for balancing economic, environmental, social, and resilience objectives.
