Discrete-Event Simulation of Bank Card Transaction Processing with a Focus on Analyzing Errors in the Shaparak System

چکیده :
This study uses discrete-event simulation to evaluate transaction processing in the Shaparak centralized switch under operational errors and capacity constraints. Response Codes 30 and 62 are modeled using scenario-based assumptions because transaction-level logs are unavailable. System performance is assessed through queue length, server utilization, transaction success rate, and cycle time. Comparing single- and dual-processor configurations shows that increased processing capacity balances resource utilization and improves system resilience. The model supports scenario analysis and infrastructure planning in electronic payment networks. Increasing the Server Pool capacity from one to two units reduced average processor utilization from 89% to 44%, while maintaining stable residence times and improving the system’s resilience to processing disruptions.
